I can't believe The Beast is already five days old. He's become sluggish--no more speedy growth now, though we have hooch.
Hooch is an alcoholic substance produced in the making of sourdough starter. All instructions that I've read say to stir it back in--so that's exactly what I did.
But not before a closer look.
Angry, angry beast! It bubbled and popped furiously while I took this picture.
So the hooch got stirred in, all but 1/4 cup was dumped down the drain, and I added another 1/4 cup each AP flour and filtered water.
It's seems that all is as it should be.
