Does anyone else watch Hell's Kitchen? It's like a train wreck. I can't tear my eyes away. It's horrible, really. All of the abuse--everyone swearing at each other is beyond my understanding, truth be told. I can not fathom working in such an environment.
It makes me want to avoid restaurants--if that's what really goes on, that is.
Are kitchens really like that? The cussing and the rudeness? Can anyone reading this give me an idea about the atmosphere in a restaurant kitchen?

I don't watch it because it makes me never want to eat out. I only worked in family dining restaurants like Shoneys and Big Boy. Nobody yelled about the food in those places. :)
I agree with you there, Mary. I think it's awful--and I'm glad to know that it's not that way everywhere, at least!
