When You Don't Feel Well

I have an icky, icky cold.

There's not a lot of cooking (or anything else) going on here right now; I'm laying low, getting lots of rest and trying to get through this with chicken broth and lots and lots of hot tea to sooth my sore throat.

What do you eat/drink when you're feeling under the weather?

Get better soon! I'm a fan of tea, orange juice, and soup in general.

I hope you get well soon. I would drink English tea and lots of it!

Thanks, Mary & Sam!

I'm definitely all about the hot tea, that's for sure. I do enjoy English Breakfast tea, but when I'm sick I tend toward plain old Red Rose tea. So soothing on a sore throat. Sometimes I'll put a few drops of OJ in the tea itself.

Soup, too--I'm definitely doing the broth thing.

I received a kind email from another reader suggesting hot lemonade spiked with a little booze--that is a GREAT idea that I plan to use tonight!

My doc also gave me an antiviral Rx so I should be on the mend in no time!

Thank you, Grace. I am starting to feel better--even planning to brave the outdoors for church this morning! :)
