Ten Years

Yesterday Mr.W and I celebrated 10 years of marriage. It's really more surreal than anything--I can't believe it's been a decade! In some ways it seems like we've been together forever--yet it seems impossible that 10 years have flown right by.

We celebrated the day with a movie (Taken--very good) and dinner at Sumo, a local Japanese sushi & hibachi place. We love the atmosphere and the food is great, even though prices cause us to limit it to special occasions. But everyone needs a special celebration restaurant, right?

I had hoped to wear a new dress that I bought for the day, but it's been so unbelievably cold! Snow, snow and more [lake effect] snow characterizes the tv news every day. Fortunately we had a slight thaw on Saturday, but it has been snowing Sunday and today.

If we had any desire to celebrate Mardi Gras locally, it would have to be huddled indoors around the furnace! Personally, I'm looking forward to the weekly fish fries that characterize the lenten season in my very Catholic hometown. I just seem to crave fish this time of year!

But I digress.

Mr.W and I had a very nice day yesterday, quietly celebrating a decade of friendship & marital bliss. We made it--here's to 10 more!

Thanks, Mary.

I had another fish fry today--in the form of a yummy, yummy sammich. I snarfed it!

You guys are adorable! Okay, well, don't tell Mr. W I called him adorable, but nonetheless you both are!

Congrats on 10 years! That's truly a milestone! And what a lucky man Mr. W is to have such a great cook for a wife...
